Many people who are no applying for their PPI claims want nothing more than their money back after being hopelessly taken for a ride by banks.
Because of the PPI scam, many missed their monthly payments on loans, mortgages and credit cards thinking the policy they had been sold would take care of matters. Now that they have found out this is not the case they are now clamoring for their money back as they put in for a PPI claim while banks are acting difficult despite their guilt in the matter. Banks will have to pay out billions of pounds to those they cheated and naturally, are not feeling good about dishing out that sort of cash.
However irate customers who were blatantly cheated by banks rightly feel they deserve their money back which is why they are flocking to claims agencies and solicitors who will help them out for a fee. The standard rate in such cases is 20 percent of the money recovered along with VAT, which is fairly reasonable all things considered.
The only hitch if you want to call it that is the victims will have to wait for 12 weeks before they see the first signs of the money they are owed. However, most of them can live with that safe in the knowledge that money they had thought was lost forever would be returned to them.
It is just sad the victims had to be taken for such a ride and to add insult to injury are actually being made by banks to wait for their money.
