Are you a high school student or college student that is in need for a vehicle but cant get a car loans for students?  Then you are not alone.  Many young adults have trouble getting approved for a auto loan through a bank because of the lack of credit.

Banks will not approve student auto loans because you may a limited or non existing credit report.  Banks look at credit reports to determine that you are capable of borrowing money and paying it back.  Also if you move around a lot and are not living consistently in the same house.  Renting for long periods of time and the same resident will boost your scores and increase your chances of receiving a auto loan.  Your lack of income might also be holding you back.  If your looking to take out a large loan for a newer vehicle but are only getting paid minimal wage than the banks look at that and decide that you will not be able to make payments with the amount you make and will disqualify you.  Or maybe you just have little vocational history.  If you dropped out of high school or currently are enrolled in high school than the banks might think you will be in school and not be able to work as much to pay the loan back.  Whatever you case is there are ways to improve your chances of receiving that auto loan.

Loans are very hard to get and a student car loans without cosigner is even less likely to happen.  So if you know a relative such as parents or grandparent that have a strong credit history and are willing to cosigne than your chances of getting that loan are very good.  Also save up money so you are able to put a down payment on your vehicle this will decrease the payments that you will be making and also the chances that a bank will approve of you.  And finally stay at the same job and try and move up in rank.  Making more money will increase the chances that you can afford a vehicle payments.

Remember also when picking out a vehicle pick one that fits you.  Unless you are constantly hauling things than you don’t really need a big truck or an suv.  You will be just fine with a car.  You don’t want to be wasting all that money on gas and not be able to afford your payments.  You don’t want to fall behind on payments because that will hurt your credit score.
